received an email from ling just now
and it made me feel better


stop complaining about all the things in life
you are much more fortunate than many people out there
they don't have a roof over their heads
they are deprived of food and water
they are deprived of proper living conditions



i should stop dwelling on the unhappy things in life
i should seek joy in what i'm doing, no matter how sucky things might get

after all, happiness is a journey
not a destination

sing your way home at the close of the day
sing your way home, drive the shadows away
smile every mile and wherever you roam
it will brighten your road
it will lighten your load
if you sing your way home
